SignUp (Evanced/Demco Software) Calendar:
Events List Widget

You can include events from the Evanced calendar on your library's web site, as shown below:

Live Sample:

To get started, click here to download the files you will need. This download includes an example HTML page (sample.html) that shows the code for a functioning version of the Event List widget (this example does NOT highlight for a particular library).

To place a search form on your library's web site, you will need to include a link to the eventListWidget.css stylesheet (this file is included in the download linked above) in the <head> of your web page. For example:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="eventListWidget.css" />

Please note that you can modify eventListWidget.css so that the style of the Event List widget matches your library's branding.

Next, you will need to include the following code within the body of your web page:

<div id="eventsinfo" class="eventsinfo"></div>
<script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>

If you would like the LibCal widget to only include your library's events, add your library's CTX # immediately after the lib= within this code. (Find your library's CTX #)

For example, code for Allendale would look like this:

<div id="eventsinfo" class="eventsinfo"></div>
<script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>

For the Events List widget, you will also need to specify the Number of Days (nd parameter), and I would recommend specifying the Result Limit (limit parameter) and including the Ongoing Events parameter (ongoing) so that ongoing events are included within the widget.

If you wish, you can also add other parameters to further limit the events displayed within the Events List widget. For example, you could limit the events listed in the calendar by age group, event type, etc. Click here for a full list of available parameters.

When adding additional parameters, they should be added in the format of:

As an example, if Allendale chose to only show a maximum of up to 10 events (Result Limit = 10) taking place within the next 5 days (Number of Days = 5), and limited the events to those for kids (Age Group of "Infants & Toddlers", "PreK & Kindergarten", or "Grades 1-4"), that final piece of code would look like this:

<div id="eventsinfo" class="eventsinfo"></div>
<script type="text/javascript" src=",7,8"></script>

If you have any questions about adding a Events List widget to your library's web site, please email Laurie for assistance.
