Library Card Application Link

You can choose between linking to the application form within the default catalog or to the application form within a version of the catalog that automatically highlights for your library.

**Important Note: Choosing the link that highlights for your library will not automatically select your library as the patron's home library within the online library card application form. The benefit to choosing the version of the link that highlights for your library is that if patrons search the catalog after applying for a library card, the catalog will automatically highlight for your library.

  1. The basic online library card application link is:

    http://catalog.bccls.org/polaris/patronaccount/selfregister.aspx

If you use this link, the patron will be linked to the default online library card application form. If patrons use this link and end up searching the library catalog while they are there, the catalog will NOT automatically highlight for your library.

  2. If you would like the link to automatically highlight for your library (so that any searches patrons conduct after following this link will automatically highlight for your library), add the following to the end of the above URL:

    ?ctx=

Then, add your library's CTX # to the end of resulting URL. (Find your library's CTX #)

As an example, the final link for Allendale would look like this:

    http://catalog.bccls.org/polaris/patronaccount/selfregister.aspx?ctx=5
